    A small handful of select mods.
    You guys are funny. There are other things at play here like weight of truck and wheel base. I would say the guard dogs would excel in deep snow with deep, wide lugs. Duratracs would excel on the packed snow because they great lateral stability. I give the GD the ice if they have those chips in the rubber.

    But I would say siped Kevlar MTR'S get my vote FTMFW! But they are so damn expensive.

    First time driving here with snow actually on the ground I love these BFG Rugged Terrains ... hands down best tires ive had on a truck since i started driving them (toyota is my second truck, previously i had a 99 ranger also 2wd) .... went to get sideways on purpose at an icy spot ... they caught dry pavement and chirped getting traction .... i now have no winter worries unless its pure ice ... the $600 was worth it
