So anyone interested in an expo trailer? I'm seriously thinking about building one. It'll be done right, big tires, high clearance, and a high articulation hitch. I'm planning on building it over the summer so I can use it to move back up to colorado and then selling it once I get here.

Spread the word and tell anyone interested :)

I am interested but don't really have the funds. The wife I think is about done with sleeping on the ground in a tent so she wanted me to get either a bed of truck tent or back of jeep tent or top of jeep tent. The trailer with the tent might be the solution.

Lead in to the conversation with her like this:

viper: You know how you don't want to sleep on the ground in a tent?
    viper+1: Yeah...
viper: Well, I need a trailer first, so I can install the truck tent on it. It is the best way to do it.
    viper+1: Wont that cost more?
viper: Maybe, but we could have water and a battery, so you could also power your electronics.
    viper+1: GREAT IDEA!

I'm not sure on cost. When I get home I'll have to shop around for quotes and find the parts I need.

My goal is to make a trailer with electric brakes, brake lights/turn signals, a tailgate and lid with hood struts. Mounts for gas cans, shovels and what not. Probably a roof rack type set up on the top, strong enough to mount a roof top tent. It'll probably have leaf springs and shocks underneath. And high articulation/clearance hitch.

I'm not sure on the size. I'll find some pictures of what I've got in my head. Probably a 4' bed?
