 I suggest we cut before the beers just to make sure the cut is straight. Are you planning on getting a piece of exhaust pipe or try to reuse the stock intake pipe? If you go exhaust you will need a 4" to 3" Fernco connector from Lowe's or HD.

Also want to run the idea of a reroute by you. If you have followed the Snorkel install thread you may have seen a guy post up about how much additional drag is caused when you turn corners especially 90 degree ones. I think there is a way to eliminate some bends if we modify the snorkel a bit. But it will be up to you and we can discuss while you are over.

Anyone can come over to chill and witness the surgery if they want. BYOB and we can order some food. I think Jason (DOT) might come over to work on the turn signals on his ARB which I forgot I told him I would help with.

I was thinking about trying to go straight to the intake and cut out 2 90 degree bends and 2 45 degree bends, but did not know how all that would work. i guess it will be a game time decision. I was planning on just re using the stock intake if we dont go straight across to the intake. not sure what ill need if the new idea works, any suggestions? exhaust pipe, and rubber sleeves?

The new F150's have a small LCD screen in the gauge cluster that has multiple screen choices all from a directional remote mounted on the steering wheel. I got one as a rental last time I was in Dallas. This little 5 second "Ford Tough" commercial pops up every time you start the truck. That little screen even has a diagnostic page to show codes. Pretty neat little set up.

I think we are thinking on the same lines. The exhaust pipe cannot be bought until we know where the routing comes in but it is suggested because it is smooth on the inside unlike the stock intake. Lowe's and HD are less then 5 minutes from my house so we can make a run once we know what we need.

You will still have one 90 degree bend going into the fender but we should be able to eliminate all others. Or close to all others. The exhaust may need a 15degree bend to match up.

Hey just remember stay on the trail and tread lightly! Not trying to be a downer but a bunch of motor bikes and ATV's went around the trail closed blockade on Hackett and have begun erosion down the side of the hill. That's the shit that get the entire trail closed for all of the rest of us.

    Carry on!
