Yeah buddy!!

 

had a 2013 tundy in today, misfiring on random cylinders..... 400 miles. couldn't figure it out why the misfire was moving randomly.... i took a fuel sample..... 50/50 water fuel. watched it separate in a clear bottle. dude was fuckin livid lol

 

So did someone pour water in his tank im guessing?

 

no.... filled up at a gas station with a bad tank underground.... water is gettin in

 

We just had a ton of snow, the water could be coming from a few places I'm guessing.

 

Sometimes with cold weather pumps that are going slower than normal have iced up and can put water into your tank. But 50/50 is a lot! I find that 7/11's pumps go wicked slow when it's really cold out so I avoid their pumps.

 

yeah put the pumps are supposed to have a water purge to eliminate issue in the tank. That sucks but will be nearly impossible to blame on the gas station and get refunded.

 

Oh thats even worse, Did he end up needed any work done?

 

yeah hes gotta pay me diag, then monday i will drain his tank and refill with gas and see what else it f'ed up if anything.....

 

You make pretty good money with stevinson? Im only asking because being a mechanic is kind of a job i want to pursue when i can later on in the year hopefully.

Does a dealership treat you better then a place like jiffy lube or places like that do?

 

Thinking about installing a 1" body lift and also installing a set of either dakars or 9 leaf deavers. Hopefully looking to clear 33" tires.

 

yeah i do ok, still tryin to get to the top ya no.... but yeah if u dont like wrenchin in the first place or have common sense dont get into it lol. its alot different than just modding ur own truck.
As for your second question, yes. All those places are no where even close to the level of a dealerships tech`s abilities....

I've been told that with my current lift i will rub a bunch on 285s, Im running bilstein 5100s all around with toytec coils and an AAL in rear.

If i can clear 285s now thatd be awesome!

 

I had 285's on with that same lift. You just need wheel spacers and need to do a bit of trimming.

 

got to work at the golden emissions testing station today. What a nice town (went there last year when i moved here for the coors tour but hadnt been up there in a while)

 

Trimming wont be a big deal, Il have to look into getting some spidertrax

 

I'm on a handful of forums too. I started on COTTORA pretty much and expanded from there. Marlin crawler (but not as much) and Colorado 4x4 as well. I think it was Front Range 4x4 (has a brown website right?)...I had joined and planned on doing some things with them but some "higher up" guy in the group was being a jerk to me over something stupid. I had only made like 5 post on the forum at the time so if you treat new people like that then I'm out.

I don't wheel with anyone in particular, I just like wheeling with anyone who's cool and has a good time. No need to be catty lol
