    What kind of shift do you have to work? 24/48? 12hr 7on/off?

    Yeah people love us until voting time for equipment or cost of living raises. Then they think all we do is nap all day. (Not the case, not even aloud unless we are really getting our asses kicked). Either way love the job could not see my self doing anything else.


    We work a 48/96. So two days on 4 days off.

    (let's see if this makes any sense)....the woman whom I do not claim as my sister....her husband is a firefighter and also works for the fire marshall's office. The last I knew they did 24/48s. The not-sister is a Paramedic and works 7-12s.

    There are tons of different shift options. We just switched to the 48/96 and I love it. I only drive to work once a week, which is nice because I don't live that close to where I work. And it gives me lots of home time with my daughter.
