It was a response to a conversation... you know, those things you have with other people. Tell me you're not that stupid that you don't get the difference between this and what you were doing.

I was out this morning launching model rockets with my students, it was a great time and it was nice to have a cool morning and not try to fight the sun to see where rockets were going.

Stand alone Emoticons is like saying Lol in the funny picture thread. I think the :tumbleweed: is considered a conversation starter, which sometimes this thread needs

There are some doctors and nurses that could use some extra skill and personality but for the most part, they are all pretty knowledgable and caring. This is the first time I've been here in over six months so I cant complain to bad! There are some times where I literally shake my head at some of these doctors+nurses though, getting on the same page is a big thing they could all learn to use. With four different doctors saying four different things its no wonder how shit doesn't get done. Kind of like my pain control, been getting morphine but I have a pretty high tolerance to the stuff so it stops working pretty quick so I told them and now I can't get it every 2 hours but 3 hours... And for some reason they want to stay away from IV pain and use oral which is fine all I care about is not having my chest feel like its splitting in two haha

The less pain I'm in the more I can move around and get the hell up out of here! Haha I'm ready to put this airbags to the test

    seriously?...

A lot of times that damn tumbleweed thing is posted when no one is even in this thread. This is a forum board, not a chat room. People come and go and possibly only check in only once or twice a day or week. It should be expected for no posts to occur for hours at a time so there's no need to make meaningless posts. That's annoying and not a conversation starter. Rather than repeatidly put up a dumb smiley or spell out animal sounds, post something constructive to talk about. That's how you start a conversation. Post pics of something cool that happened or something you're working on.

This thread has more posts in it than the TW Live thread some days and that thread has people posting in it nationwide.

Sometimes I go thread jumping and if at the right time of day can stay pretty actively chatting. If someone's not using emoticons then they are going to off topic, what do you do when you want to talk about something in this thread? Do we need a :raiseyourhand: the tumbleweed emoticon got on the list somehow hahaha

No, if you have something to say, then say it. Spell it out and create a topic to have other people respond to. Posting a tumbleweed for the hell of it because there's a lull just tells others you're bored.
