My zerk grease gun decided it wanted to leak all over today, anyone got any ideas on how to store it so it won't leak?

 

Electrical tape over the spots where its leaking? Lol wheres it coming from

 

To be honest all over, the air valve on the top, the seal down near the plunger. I'm considering pulling the tube of grease but didnt know if that was an option or would get messy

 

Do you relieve the pressure after you use it?

We had a friend with a Toyota buggy who for real cried when he broke off a zerk fitting on his greaseable shackles...

I popped them off cause they were snagging a little bit not really planning on putting them back on

 

I pressed the button near the handle and then also released the ball bearing on that other side, along with releasing the tension on the bottom plunger. we will see if that helps, im stupid

 

Well if you decide to get rid of them let me know. I could use a set in black.

 

Ok well next time we work on our trucks ill bring them. If anything I will get the holes filled by a shop or fill the holes some other way

 

thats what im afraid of, i think the heat is causing the grease to liquify and then leak out, it was coming out of the threads where the damn thing opens to put in a new tube, considering returning the POS
