Some sort of a fuel sipper that is car seat capable, gets from A to B, and cheap to buy/insure. Got my eye on an '02 Ford Escort right now. Low miles and new tires. Big Pimpin!

Or...I may get a motorcycle now and just get the car seat carrier on wheels when the time comes.

I only live 3 miles from work and ride a bike most days as long as rain isn't in the forcast.

I might have missed it, but what about your truck is illegal in some places?

I mean, I could see Kalifornia because they have all kinds of silly regulations, but ???

As has been the case all last week, haha. That was the kicker. I'm actually hoping to improve that commute to just 1 mile if things work out and it's only a M-Th work week. If that happens, F it, I don't need a car. If it's raining/snowing, I'll walk. I've got really nice rain gear for hiking that'll do just fine and it's only a mile.

You might have more luck if you gave some details. Description, pictures, condition, price, etc.

Thanks. I'll be sticking around here. My departure from the taco will only be temporary. I may even start a build thread when I start accumulating parts. I've been meaning to start one for the current truck, but now it seems somewhat pointless. I would be more of a memorial than anything else,.

Ben just a couple of experiences I have had. You can always see if an auto broker will help you sell it and they can even help find you a super cheap, cash car. I have always been happy dealing with H.M. Brown. Let me know if you want a contact.

Also in a past life I had to sell my heavily modified 4x4 as part of a divorce agreement. Ended up doing a consignment with a dealer. I just had to set a price I needed to get on the truck and whatever they sold it for over that was theirs. Worked for me. I do know a guy near you with a small used car lot that might take it on if you want. Again let me know.

It sucks to see it go especially with all of the custom extras you have put into it. But the good news is you are young and have plenty of time to build one better. :D

you could probably take the fire road up mclellan and once above treeline you should be fine. Ask Eric but i believe he had said there is a fire road up to about the mine and split to Argentine / mclellan area.

Or you could probably make it most of the way up peak 10 in breck, i would just worry about you trying to make it all the way up the the weather station because of the tight switchbacks. Ill be heading up there in the next couple of weeks to summit peak 10 in the truck and then hike over to the lake under the lake chutes with the wife.

This is the switchbacks, trust me up towards the top they get tight, i know the image makes it look a mile wide though

peak 10 is a massive fire road all the way to just below the image i just posted, you should be fine till there, i saw a suburban rental going up the last time i went up there. Great views from that valley too!!!http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=251

and i think Traildamage finally changed the rating to higher than a 2 which is nice because the top section is actually the tightest switchbacks ive been on.

Sounds like you need a more narrow truck. ;)
