Halfway did the truck come from out of state to CO?
If so, expect a lot. When I moved from IL, my WRX (similar purchase cost to my Taco) was around $900 for the first registration. CO makes sure to get their sales tax cut whether you buy it here and pay sales tax or buy it out of state and pay a registration upcharge. My 2013 Taco was around $450 to register with it being purchased in CO. Hell of a shock when IL had a set $95 registration fee. Future registrations get cheaper and are determined by depreciation on the vehicle. My cousin has a 15 y/o Ford F250 and paid $18 for his most recent registration.

Yea I'm the only owner, bought it brand new 2011. They can collect sales tax on my truck even though I purchased it 2.5 years ago?

My WRX was a year old when I moved here and they still hit me for it when I moved. I don't think it's really sales tax, its more of a welcome to CO first time registration fee that just happens to very closely resemble the amount that sales tax would have been if you bought it in CO. :)

in Denver I believe they tax you on the total sales of the vehicle the first time. My 2000 runner was $900 but that's because I bought it private party and didn't pay tax at the dealer. I don't believe they can hit you for taxes again but CO is expensive to register cars in.

Just wish they would use some of that money to keep the roads clear when it snows. Took 3 1/2 hours to get from the springs to school in Lakewood this morning.

They keep the roads reasonably clear. It's the southern Texas, and California drivers that have never seen snow that's the problem. Although this morning the problem was the people with AWD/4X4 that think just because their vehicle doesn't slip when it starts off the line means that their tires will magically grip ice when they go to stop. Idiots.

There is a lot of truth in that statement. Although at work I always bet on the car in the ditch to have a native sticker on the bumper and it normally pays out. I personally don't mind the roads having a little snow on them when I drive. What gets me is the people still trying to travel at 75mph when the roads a shitty, that's how I got hit last year and the fucker totaled my 4runner. I was just chillin in the right lane enjoying my coffee driving to work when this jack wagon in a little ass car starts to do 360's down I25 and he hit me into the jersey wall.

Ok kids, I know a lot of these choices are personal preference, but take a look at this list and let me know if I'm making any glaring errors.

    Brute Force Fab plate bumper
OME lift (886 coils, top plate, 2" leafs)
    Hankook Dyna Pro ATM (285/70R17)
Warn VR10000-s or a Smitty X20 10 Comp <- can't decide if I want to be cheap or have the option of wireless control
    Leer 100XR cap

Not sure what I'm doing about the rear bumper. Already have BAMF sliders.

Easy now, you know that ignorance is an exception to the law. "Honest officer, I had no idea I wasn't able to bludgeon him to death with a bat."

Halfway, if you can still claim residency in NY and are traveling back and forth, that shouldn't be an issue...however if you moved in July and claimed residency in CO, that's where the dates come into play. I think you're good.
