I had a Trek Y3 full suspension w/Shimano XT components back in the day. Then I got into motorcycles and that puppy just sat in the living room of my apt and collected dust.

Yeah even when I had all my street bikes, dirt bikes and Atv's I still found time to ride. I just enjoy it. Kind of dated your self on that bike there buddy. :D
Was goin to pick up a moonlander but bought some new telemark boots instead. I'll get one eventually though.

Apparently Walmart sells a decent fat bike for $200 and you can make it nice with a few upgrades I've read

I knew it was ancient because it was old news when I bought it in like 1997. I bought it used from Sonny's Bike rentals here in Fort Fun for like $400 I think it was. I rode the piss out of it and finally sold it for $550 IIR in 2001 after I realized I wasn't going to ride it anymore. That bike was pretty kick-ass but for my limited downhill riding I would have been better off with a hardtail but for what I paid I couldn't beat it. I just set the rear as stiff as I could and dealt with it for the majority of my flat land riding. Plus it looked kewl and got all the babes.

Its my first mountain bike. My roommates both work at a bike shop and say its gonna be the best bang for my buck/riding ability. Plus they can get me a discount on it, and their shop will give me free maintenance and tune-ups for a year.

I think they're both switching to 650b's this year too.

Yeah I ride hard though so I gotta pay to play on my bikes.

Hell yeah bikes get all the babes.
Yeah I rode a few different 650b's they are fun. I jumped on the 29er band wagon. Been fun so far. That trek will be a bad ass bike I demo'd one and I've been contemplating one. But I have no need for multiple bikes anymore.
