The the short answer is yes. "The fat kid" as he is called on TW has a dual radio. CB and HAM and it is about 12" square and 3" thick. No small device. But new HAM radios aren't much bigger then new CB's.

However, due to FCC regulations I don't think you can buy the radio that way and you have to modify it to make it work. Legally, a HAM radio should not transmit on CB frequencies due to the fact that HAM radios transmit much more power than the legally stated 4 watts for CB. My uncles HAM radio transmits close to 100 watts.

    Yes they do.
That would be cool never seen the combo that's awesome.
Different certification levels allow you to transmit at different MHz. Entry level radios can be very small.

It is an older radio for sure but it has a switch. It does not transmit on both frequencies at the same time. It's one or the other.

That makes it not awesome :( I hate when people put their kids in danger. That would be crazy hauling ass through Denver at this time of day.

This started with an Amber Alert in Longmont. The driver is not the owner of the car, he stole the car from a lady getting gas, her kid was in the back seat. chase has been going for an hour now

There is no way this will end well, you can see the desperation and it's escalating
