How did you gap them? The lovely people at auto zone have nothing to sell me and claim they are pre gapped.

They should be pregapped, but who knows for sure.
I use one of these. Lots of auto parts stores have them and so does Sears.

If you check them and they are snug but close, leave em, don't spread them any more as they will widen naturally over time as they wear.
Because the electrode and ground are rounded you can only get the tip of the gauge between them so don't force it.

When using this tool it should just barely touch top and bottom, so don't go too much gap where you don't feel slight rub, or too little wh where it doesn't slide in.

They make things for gap, it looks kind of like a coin if I'm thinking of the right thing.

Yep but it doesn't work too well with the dual electrode plugs, or at least I gave up on using it. :)Feeler gauges are just a personal preference for me.

The dual electrodes I got are -11 which means they are pretty gapped to the correct gap. They all look the same. I am going to run with it for now.

I found a topic on here about spark plugs from a master mechanic that said there was no difference in performance between 1 and 2 electrode plugs, so don't waste your money on them.

    :p

For your interest in a CB antenna mount, no need to weld anything up, this is what I use. It's contoured to match the curve and keep the antenna straight. It doesn't interfere with the hood at all. Maybe it will give you guys some ideas.
I got it from the CB Shop and More in Johnstown.

I got all 6 dual electrode plugs from the dealership for just under $23. Way cheaper than any of the other auto parts stores

That's a nice set up, but I'm thinking of trying to mount my military antenna, still not sure about it.

Need to make a mount for how big the base is.
