For personal use, I use a Canon T3i. At my job, they have a Nikon D3100 and a D3000, so very similar to the T3i and the T2i.

I guess you could say I'm a professional, since my job title is a videographer/photographer for a small company that makes 3D printers, but my focus has been more on videography. I went to film school at CU - Boulder, so I was able to shoot on some really high end cameras like the FS700 and also 16mm and 8mm film cameras and edit by hand, which I really loved.

What kind of motion graphics do you do or what for?? I'm really interested now!

Mostly C4D and After Effects stuff, I work for a video production house here in town. I shoot 5D MII and MIII primarily, but have used plenty of other packages. I shoot more video now with the DSLR's then i do stills.

    3D printing looks interesting!

That's awesome. I wish I could do more video production here at work but a lot of it has been product photos which are just boring to be honest.

I'm actually looking at getting a GoPro and a friend can get me a deal on the 3+ black edition. Have you dabbled at all with those? Advice?

yep, we have about 12 of em here at work. I had to shoot an entire spot on GoPro with interviews, food beauties, timelapse, drone, and b roll to edit together a 2-3 minute spot. It was a challenge for sure! but turned out looking like a standard HD camera shot it, i wasnt going for that GoPro wide angle look by any means :D

I would get the latest and greatest GoPro you can afford, the LCD back is awesome for setting up shots but will crush the battery life. We use the wifi to our phones to set up shots as well which is cool. You can control pretty much everything on the camera straight from your phone.

I have only been to a few around here. Suehiro is the really popular place but I have never been there. I LOVE Sushi Jeju, thats the place I referred to in that post. The high stroll and the samurai are great rolls but there is another roll there that I can never remember the name of that I have been meaning to try. It will happen next time I go.

Projector retrofit? If so, yep. Mainly 4Runner's though but Tacomas are the same.
