Yeah that stuff sucks. I had two Marine Corps balls in Vegas. One was a week after a 11 month deployment. Talk about a shit show, hell of a time.

I was told when I was 19 that I would not be able to live without assistance if I even made it out of surgery, because of an accident. :D I'll show you the aftermath some day. I've got the vertical scar to show from it. I'll let ya touch it tomorrow. :D. It put me on life support for 3 weeks and another 3 weeks in an ICU, and then 1 month at home with a home nurse. Followed buy month after month of PT Rehab learning how to walk again. The thing that kept me going was everyone telling me I can't or won't.

I feel we are cut from the same mold my friend.

Who's riding in rush hour traffic? :D
Screw that I head up the canyons. I spend all day in idiot traffic for work.

Oh man, don't get me started on canyons. That's not an event, it's a religious experience. The canyons here are great but the canyons in California are epic.

You're not the first to tell me that. Maybe someday...I just don't see myself in Kalifornia anytime soon. ;)

Let me ask you a serious question....prior to the accident did you have a different outlook on life? Meaning was your personality different than it is now? Overall attitude adjustment?

    Ost- same applies to u.

Just curious...I have a close friend that was in a similar position 10+ years ago, got a second outlook on life and is probably the most giving, kind hearted guy out there now.

Yeah actually it changed a lot. Now I do what I want pretty much because I don't know what day will be my last. It's made life a lot less stressful. It's good because my parents, brother, and wife know this and become a part of it. I don't stress out over small things as much. I'm a firm believer that if you want to do something you should not wait to do it. You only get one life, so live that shit. :D I've slowed down since my daughter was born but now I'm just waiting for her to grow so she can join me in my adventures. I remember the last thing my friend said to me before surgery "worrying won't change the out come of anything" so no worries is great mentality to have at least in my opinion.

^ reminds me of one of my favorites...

What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.

Nice, it's a good place man I've got a few friends that have been there for a while! Good ole a town. I'm revamping the resume to test with a department directly west of mine. Just keeping my options open because mine is forcing people through p school.

The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present

Oh I know that all my buddies that work there are medics, it's not that I want to stay a basic. But where I'm at they don't compensate medics like they should. So if I go through p school I will prolly test down there. But I'm for sure testing with Thornton they are growing fast and keep getting raises like crazy!!
