Good to hear. When I heard you bailed on us to be with them we felt jilted but now that I know there was extenuating circumstances I don't feel bad. Glad everyone is ok.

Yeah me too. They will be coming home soon so that's a good thing.

 

This June marks 20 years for me.

On a side note - Would anyone be interested in drive in movie next saturday? The pony and I were going to go and I was seeing if there was any interest. I will post in events thread if I get a few interested.

 

After this weekend being as nice as it will be, we need to get out and do some scouting of trails. Unless someone has first-hand knowledge, I think we should go check out Cascade creek or BIll Moore or something close to Denver. North trails are all closed until further notice due to "flood damage" so I need to find out where I will be going this summer. A few 70-80 degree days like these will probably go a long way with those trails below tree line. I can't do anything this weekend, but perhaps next?

 

ha hah a, the mountains just got another foot of snow last weekend so i dont see bill moore or any of the trails up near summit county opening anytime soon. I hear that slaughter house gulch is completely clear though so if we stay in the foothills we should be able to find stuff opening up!!

 

Well shit! Looks like it might be a very short wheeling season. Hopefully winter comes in late this year. I only have 4 weeks if school left do I hope stuff clears out by then. Guess that forces me to stay in town and work on my bumper.

 

Or you could go to the drive in with us next Saturday lol

 

that was pretty cool

 

I went and checked out a few trails last weekend. Cumberland Gulch up to Yankee Hill was still snow covered after only half a mile or so. Chinn Lake trail was clear for about 2 miles but you hit a 10 foot wall of snow where a local stops plowing. Tried to do McClellan/Argentine Pass and got to the split just fine but McClellan was snowed in being so tree covered and Argentine you could only get about a half mile past the first camp spots where you cross the stream.

None of the snow was very deep though, 12 inches at most I would say, so hopefully by this weekend or next they will be passable.
