Anyone on here with a 6ft bed want to help me out with some measurements? I'm building a bed rack, but I have a short bed. Mainly just need to know the length of the bed rails. I would also like to have your truck in the shop for a short period of time to check the fit, if possible.

    Thanks.

I'm not local but I just measured my rails for an LED bed light I installed and they came to right at 62" for the straight part before the little curved end caps. So the actual rail portion is 62" front to back on the standard length beds.

He works in the same building so yeah he left his number on my windshield and came down and I filed a claim with his insurance. Going to inquire about just taking cash and then get a bumper but we'll see what happens. The insurance's initial estimate was $650, another shop I went to before the insurance office was about $750.

Yeah I say save the money, get a nice bumper and either repaint or get a new flare.

That is most likely the current plan, after they wiped the transient stuff of the actual rub through the paint is only in a couple spots.

So, which bumpers are the best? :D

Budget is an issue however. The truck won't be being off-roaded a lot (that's what the dirt bike is for) so I'm willing to spend a bit more than I get back in the whole thing, but not much more. I'm figuring I'll get about 700-750 out of the insurance.
