    Oh really? :D still f'n pissed I couldn't go

speaking of... TimmyJimmy and I tried to replace the CV axle... the hub gear is basically seized on to the axle... the clicking we heard was the slipping of teeth on the end of the axle and the inside of the hub gear... can't figure out how to get the damn gear off as it's supposed to just slide out...

not a hard job... just no idea how to approach it

I never win anything in drawings like that. Happy for you guys and jelly all at the same time! Eric, your skids will go on just fine. I would suggest replacing the washers with grade 8 ones though. I need to do that too on mine.

Just got home. I left last night after the raffle hoping to sleep in my own bed.

Ended up sleeping in the reclined driver's seat at the rest stop in rifle for about 4 hours.

Either there were no lot lizards or they couldn't wake me up.

I thought you had to be present to win but I guess as long as someone was there to claim it...
    Congrats Brandon!
Next time you guys should take a few more orders for raffle tickets. Like I said, I never win but I would at least try. I hope to actually be there myself for future meets though so I can claim my own winnings.

Yeah that's what I was fearing...

I was 100% until after Yankee hill... then 85%... then after Jace did my alignment and found my lower control arm adjustment seized, and I couldn't get a replacement CV until Tuesday... I decided discretion is the better part of valor and bowed out.

As it turns out... I don't think I'd have stranded myself, but my driver's front wouldn't have been engaging. the hub gear and axle shaft teeth were slipping... so I'd have been 2wd when I needed 4wd... but I didn't have any serious trails planned (still need armor) so I think I'd have been ok... but needed to save the $ for the repairs anyways

Ebbs was planning on going and prepaid for them but had unforeseen circumstances so couldn't go.

Speaking of armor, addicted gave away a free set of sliders which is awesome.

And for your punishment for not coming, I'm going to make you wait to find out what you won till we give it to you. But we estimated it to be over $400 worth of stuff. :p

Well that sucks but I guess if you won stuff you will offset at least some of whatever repair costs you had with forced mods that you may have chosen or not.
So are you gonna tell us what you won or what?!

Edit-oh shit he doesn't even know! You should PM and tell me!

I won $160 worth of lower ball joints which I really needed from Low Range. E-locker armor from Low Range. 30% off full Go Pro order. Lots of shirts, hats, stickers, swag. I feel like I'm forgetting something but maybe not. Ebbs won more than I did.

One of the coolest prizes I thought, while not the most expensive, was an actual working manual hub shifter for your transfer case. It looks way cool in person. It's found here http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/inde...ad-billet-aluminum-shifter-knobs-7-types.html I'm going to order one eventually.

Someone won a rooftop tent as well and a full set of tires up to 35s from BFG.

    DOH!

Can't bitch though... had you not hooked me up... I'd have $0 worth

Yeah... those Addicted sliders would have been tits! lol but I will never complain about winning anything! unless it's an STD... winning those sucks

Damn you got a nice hall... can't wait to see what I got... good timing too cause I don't have $ to spend on mods now LOL

edit: I've seen that hub shifter before... bad ass didn't know it actually turned too! it'd be awesome if you could somehow wire it up to activate a locker...

It went really smooth. Left the trailhead at like 8:30 Wednesday morning, followed that guys blog write up on skipping the single track portions, but most of it was following fairly easy roads. Also ran top of the world, and set up camp just after that at like 8ish that night. It was a really long day with just around 100 miles most of which were off road. Got into Moab about 3ish Thursday afternoon. I got a gopro video of us going down rose garden hill, should be interesting.

:notsure: Unless you were reading about doing it on a bike? So yeah, unless you have a massive group, or some unexpected issues, there's not way you couldn't do it in 2 days.

So here ya go. One way we made it so quickly is we didn't stop and take a bunch of pictures :D

Fairly early in the trail, see the La Sals in the background, that's where your heading:

Cisco wash, this was hard to find, my only navigational shortcoming:

Not yet. Was funny because a guy who owns a dealership in Arizona pulled up at the end of the cliffhanger trail head with one for sale and we were talking to him about it lol
