Reminds me of that yellow Camaro that's always parked in that strip of mobile homes along I-70 in Georgetown. The one that has "Hi Mama" or similar spray painted on it.

Went with the TrailGear Rock Defense as it bolts on and doesn't require cutting and welding.

Will be paying these credit cards off all winter ;)

Ran into some crazy lady earlier. She was blocking the road trying to give a panhandler money (illegal btw) so we honked. And she flipped us off. Ended up getting next to her at a light and she flipped us off again, so we did it back. Then she started filming us with her phone

Must be the weather. I ran into a similar whackjob yesterday. He thought it was cool to cruise at around 18 mph down the entire length of Overland trail, with a mile of traffic behind him. He's just looking in his rear view, smiling away....
I flipped him off and ran the horn for a bit.

Nice. I will be too... and hopefully have a locker and new gears by spring

This is why I want Train Horns

yesterday I was on chambers headed north just before I70 and the construction had it blocked down to one lane... I merge and we're stopped, and I see someone come barling down the other lane passing 50+ cars in the process... so I move over and block the lane... she took exception... motioning she just wanted to turn right (the right turn was AFTER the merge point) and flipped me off... it was funny though... when she had to merge anyways then called me a "N*gger" when she pulled up next to me...

that makes the 2nd time in my life I've been called that... in almost the exact same situations... I'm curious... am I missing something? last time I checked... I was 6'2 190lb clean cut white male... I was too dumbfounded to even spit out a retort.

Thanks! What do those run typically?

I bought mine brand new... but you can find them used from 1500 (for an off road version) to 4000 I wouldn't pay more than that...

I'm selling my bike if you're interested... it's a 2001 BMW F650GS Dakar... it's got high milage for a bike (21,000) but it's in great shape mechanicly and has hard bags that come with it... get's 60+mpg all day long... best I've got was 75, worst was 55

here's a pic (took the decals off to paint, but the guy who was going to do it flaked out)

Don't put any thought into it.

People like that don't deserve a second of your time.

Wow man, big changes! Good job!

She probably has or will have kids too! That is the kind of person we want procreating...

21k isn't that bad for that bike. I'm sure it will be able to repeat that at least one more time. I have a 2004 honda interceptor with 24k and thought that was bad until I saw a guy who toured constantly on his and had over 300k miles on it! Very rare occurrence and I'm sure there was at least one motor swap but still impressive.

In the early 2000's I had a buddy in CA that had over 100k on his GSX-R750 before he traded it in on a 1000. As I recall he put six figures on that one too.

My '90 Sportster has 134,188 on the clock.
Engine was rebuilt at roughly 20,000 when a tappet bearing failed and made it's rounds through the engine, so 114,188 on that rebuild.

no it's not... and I JUST had the water pump replace which is the only weak point (usually goes at about 20k)

I've got a budy with 250k on a F4i... Jarred is his name lives in California... dude is a traveling machine... had a accord with over 400k, just hit 100k on another bike, and 200k on another car... but he maintains the shit out of them he's a diesel mechanic for Ford...so he def knows how to tear down motors ;)

Nice I love seeing people that actually ride, rather than stand next to, their bikes

Yeah motorcycles are not that different than cars, maintain them and they will last a long time. I think the problem with bikes is that people don't keep up with them Like they would a car. You can't really take a bike to jiffy lube and have someone point out the stuff that is going to need to be replaced. even if the shop is full of shit most of the time, sometimes they tell you stuff you need to hear.

Yeah, and Motorcycle shops tend to have a higher hourly rate (at least in my experience)

and, people tend to ride them harder than they drive their cars, and because they see them as "toys" they don't put in the maintenance.
