    Hey guys, I just stumbled upon a thread about using a chain wax under the truck as a winter rust/snow melt prevention. Does anybody here have experience with this or other rust prevention products? Is it necessary in CO? This will be my first winter with my TACO, and I want to do everything I can for her!

    I don't think it's needed. We only use mag chloride and gravel on the roads. Just be sure to take it to a car wash that does the undercarriage spray to get the mag off and you should be good.

    None of us on here really do rust prevention stuff. It's not quite as bad as you think. I just make sure to wash the under carriage once a week and then I take some steel wool to the frame and hit it with some paint when it's nice out
