yah, the install was all me. I hadn't seen anyone mount it there before and just kinda came up with the idea.

it works great, but I think some one else mounted theres on the side so that the cord wasn't sticking straight up.

yes, all the controls are on the hand held. The transmitter is tucked away inside the console.

all radios transmit at 4 watts. the only difference in radios is what features they come with. so just pick one that has the features that you want.

getting distance involves selecting a good antenna, a good mount location, a good ground with the coax, and a low SWR.

Yeah I love that Cobra. I went through the small pocket on the right hand side of the steering wheel with it. Just tuck the cords into the pocket when not in use. Put the fork on the dash to hold the control piece.

That has been a great CB for me.

Alignment diagnosis. Out of alignment+ broken/worn tierod joint = a big dent into my ELocker axle conversion project. FML

Yeah I have started looking into junk yards for spare parts like that so I can just fix that shit at home for cheap.

The shop ended up doing a killer job. I would highly recommend Merrill axle and wheel in Denver. The guys ended up to be very fair on prices and honest with what they were doing.

Been looking around for a while now, finally found a posting on craigslist that I liked. It has what it needs for the trails, I just need to clean it up and getting it running strong again.
Looks like the main front seal, oil pan seal and axle seals need to be replaced. Lucky for me the previous owner was on that track and provided me with a full engine gasket kit. Guess I have some work to do. The carb also needs to be rebuilt. That is where Jeremy (MadIrish) comes in.
Also have plans of putting do it yourself bedliner (the cheep stuff) in the bed, wheel wells and frame. Depeding on how that looks, the roll bar and the lower part of the body might get some textured bedliner as well.

The interior is a little trashed so it will need a new dash or a dash cover, seat covers and a new door panel.

I will post some pics tomorrow.
