    Sean's not a LEO
    He's barely even a mod.
He can't even post pictures, probably doesn't know what an IP is.
Bob might be able to help him though...

hmm... that doesn't read as funny as it sounded in my head
    Love you Sean!

Obviously he knows nothing about offroading, his logic with everything is screwy. "Obviously they said F this and left it behind. I honestly don't know what you could do if you had a major failure that remote in the mountains".

Hackett is far from remote. Most of you saw it was just outside of town and a really popular trail for trucks/atvs/cycles etc. Dude probably broke and was going to come back to get it. It has out of state plates so it's probably some soldier from Fort Carson. You fix it or you drag it out. It's not hard...at least it wouldn't have been if they had not rolled it down the hill. Heck, we rescued ebbs a few weeks ago from Metberry and it only took a few hours. Glad nobody messed with his truck.

Apparently he hasn't noticed it isn't a junkyard down there. People break, they fix their stuff, then they go on their way. "Maybe a helicopter could have lifted it out" haha right.

They just got that trail reopened too at the end.

    Interesting.

I was always under the impression he was.

Either way I know there are a few other CO TW members that are (sorry can't remember handles).

This guy needs to be reprimanded.

Who goes wheeling in a Yukon? My guess is that the vehicle was stolen and driven up there or the owner took it up there and destroyed it, making a false insurance claim. The vehicle was abandoned by whoever long before this guy came along....and that's where charges would lie. Should homeboy have pushed it over the hill? No. But that's not the biggest crimes we'd look at here.

FWIW I locked the originating thread here in order to preserve his posts, but even if he tries to edit them we can "unedit"

It's being discussed, and as Kodiak said...pushing it over the hill ain't the biggest issue here, but still an issue nonetheless just because he should have a LOT more respect for the trails/offroad/environment than that

I suspect LE was already aware of the vehicle and the ball was rolling for that aspect of the situation. That's between the vehicle owner, LE and the insurance company to address.

I have no idea if there's a law that was broken when the vehicle was purposely rolled down the hill. I don't think that's the biggest "crime" (using that loosely) here (others likely will disagree). The "crime" is contributing to the complexity of removing the vehicle; something this crew deemed impossible to do so they were (I'm guessing) having some fun by rolling it off the hill. The reality is probably closer to this being an easier removal than some others, had the vehicle been left by the trail. It's a shame.

Hopefully the poster took to heart the comments left in the other thread, and his eyes have been opened.

Vandalism is a very real crime.

Vandalism is real, but you take into consideration someone steals a car, dumps it, trashes it, then a number of weeks later, some dude flips it off a hill...what's the biggest offense? Granted both can be prosecuted.
