Mine is great with kids, my daughter rides mine. They are snugglers I can sit without mine trying to be on my lap. I posted a thing on FB 10 things GSP owners only know. It was spot on, they are like velcro to their owners. She is laid back in the house until it's play time then all hell breaks loose. I have a lab as well so they get to run around and play. I kennel my dogs when I leave the house for the most part. Have lots of toys for the GSP mine is never without something in Her mouth so the more toys the better. Mine was bought for hunting but then we had a baby and that went out the window but it's never too late to start them so next year I'll prolly work with her. She is great camping and hiking though she won't stop.

 

He'll be kenneled until he can be trusted in the house or yard, for sure, but eventually the plan is to let him enjoy the outdoors or house when he's an adult.

Sounds like the kind of dog I'm looking for. I'm really excited to get him on some birds too. The breeder I'm going through has a great training reputation, so I could see myself shipping him back out there to get some more work at some point.

 

My dogs are good, I just have a brand new house so they get kenneled. Mine can get rowdy without supervision. (Also gsp's are professional counter surfers for food, so you gotta break that!) I got my GSP from a gundog breeder as well.

Once I throw my fork springs in my 525 I need to do an IMI trip to tune the clickers and adjust rear preload.

My GPS isn't that exiting. It doesn't do any cool tricks. Just tells me where I am.....

I'd rather have a GSP or GSD. They're a lot less expensive too

 

My Dr. didn't do mine until I was 32. I had asked him every year from age 18.

 

Yeah I have a few more years till my early 30's.

 

Unless that is like a $100k GPS the dog will cost more over its lifetime. But the dog will also give you a lot more happy memories then your GPS.
