    You'll want to use two different colors of masking tape. Cover the area with one color of masking tape to help with preventing paint from chipping. And the other color of masking tape to set up a line to follow while cutting. Grinder with cutting wheel. This is just an option. I'm pretty sure others would have other ways of doing it.

    Oh yeah if your trying to cut arches you can use a jigsaw with a steel cutting blade. But take your time.
