best for stovepipes, failure to feed, and hot brass to the forehead lol.

With that said I do believe if bought new, broken in with good ammo, only fire good ammo, keep it clean and hold the thing like a man.....it can be a good weapon. But greatest ever?

I'm all about getting on the ban wagon to bash glocks when I can but I never had that problem with my 19, sounds like you need to clean your pistols better if you're having all those issues. I had the glock smile issue with my 21 and it was fixed with a tighter fitting barrel for around $100. I still sold the pistol.

I'm defiantly not a glock fan boy like some people (not saying anyone here) but the 19 is the only one I regret getting rid of. The rest were just purchases I didn't want after I bougt them. I've got an XD that has More rounds than I can think of through it, all factory and not one issue since 2006.

Yes, best all-around handgun ever. Stove pipes & FTF are not something Glocks are known for so I have no idea what you're doing wrong or you got a lemon. Among Glocks that's super uncommon. The random brass to the face issue was something some early Gen 4 models experienced & was resolved. I had one that did it actually but if you're wearing proper protective clothing it's not the end of the world. Other than that a Glock will take more abuse, neglect & firearm ignorance than any other handgun made.

I've got one Glock 17 that I've personally fired tens of thousands of rounds through with only one issue which was caused by 70 year old surplus ammo given to me by an old war hero buddy of mine. 100% the ammo's fault & I was even using it in a 3-gun with said ammo the day it happened. Pulled the trigger & it just fizzled a little. Tap, rack (verified the projectile was still in the case in mid-air to rule out a stove-pipe) BANG! Cost me a couple tenths was all. I love that gun & while I have done so in the past it's too large & heavy to conceal regularly. Many factors go into the title 'Best all-around handgun' & it's not a statement I make lightly.

I own many guns & if I could chose only one to own for the rest of my life it would be my Glock 19. Period.

agree to disagree. I have had zero issues with mine. But I also never fire it...i have seen over 100 threads about G19 issues on every firearm forum i have ever been on....can every single one really be just operator error or lack of maintenance? I am not hating on Glocks or G19 in general...just seem to have to many issues to be considered the greatest ever. To each there own....people think I am crazy for loving the M9...at a certain point its all opinion.

Everyone has opinions about all guns, good bad or indifferent.
Some people get a good high point every now and again.

to many to list, check the build thread
Why not just sell the g19 then? I know multiple people that would probably purchase it.

Gramps, it's not that I don't like your .40 I do, but I'd rather have a .45acp G36, G30 instead. If I were to get a .40 it would have to be at the right price because id just rather have the .45acp

I got it from someone who owed me money. I told him I would hold on to it if by chance he wants it back. I have 2 other handguns and don't need the money. Otherwise I prolly would.

Now you're just being argumentative because I admitted that the early Gen 4 models had an issue. Make sure your ejector & extractor are the latest & if you still have issues send it in to be fixed under warranty. I did & my Gen 4 G19 has been flawless ever since. Of course you saw lots of threads, there's like a billion of them sold so saying you saw lots of threads doesn't really prove anything.

Even mentioning the Beretta M9 in a conversation about best all-around handgun makes your entire point null.
