so I was looking at my sliders and light bar yesterday, and alot of the paint is coming off. I was thinking about re-priming and re-painting them. is there an easy way to do this with sliders? or am i gonna have to getr under the truck with sandpaper, sand all the paint off, prime and re-paint? I can take the light bar off, so thats not too big of an issue, just alot of work for the sliders.

    A few bolts are different.
Eric buy/borrow an angle grinder with wire brush attachment. It will make it much easier.

Does anyone know of a good transmission shop in south denver? I just had my truck at the dealer and they want to replace my whole transmission for $4700 because my 3rd gear synco is shot, and I would like a second opinion or at least another estimate.

Astro Automotive (South Denver) is highly recommended by Colorado 4x4. I took my truck there for an oil change, rear diff fluid change and general check (it sucks living at an apartment.) they had me out the door in under an hour and they had almost all of the stalls full. If you mention the Colorado 4x4 forums they also give a 10% discount.

If anything you should look for a place that will rebuild it instead of just replaceing it
