    As an Oregon State fan... I can give you some insight...

    Mike Riley did a lot with a program that had a lot against it...
    1, it's 20 miles north of Eugene and Oregon and all the Nike $
    2, Corvalis is smaller than Golden, and 3hrs from Portland... so no "big city"
    3, he turned 2 and 3 star recruits into 4 and 5 stars, Derrick Anderson, Brandon Cooks, Jaquiz Rodgers, Marcus Wheaton...
    4. 6-2 in bowl games...

    The PAC 12 was no joke this year, and we couldn't get both sides of the ball to show up to the same game, with the exception of the ASU upset.

    he does have issues with clock managment, and being predictable in his play calling, though I'm sure he will be able to get a much better OC than what we had...

    I for one don't think it's a bad hire, though not sure why they fired Polini in the first place... couln't be because he was under achieving
