    If permission is granted credit no longer has to be given because the end user now has full rights to the photo unless other agreements are made between the photographer and the end user. But if you go back through the 2014 RT thread I believe Ice Horse was mentioned as the photographer of the original photo that ended up being part of the shirt logo.


    Regardless please do not drag a fun event for all into this current debate.

    Edit: After going through the 2014 RT Thread I must retract my statement about Ice Horse being mentioned as the the photographer of the truck used. I must have dreamed that part.

    It's kinda a null and void point anyways since the photo was used as reference only and then recreated digitally. Basically none of the photo exists anymore in that design. I could be wrong but I'm glad we had permission to use the photo. :D

    Didn't expect anything for it. Tacoma World is a great community with a bunch of wonderful people. We would do anything we could to help make events enjoyable. I just found it odd that no credit was given for her pick yet this is giant blown up post because someone didn't get credit.
    Some people work for money, others are satisfied with a little pat on the back.

    This might apply if the ORIGINAL photo was reused and printed on the shirts and the photographer requested signature credit or a warkmark be included. In this case permission was granted for use of a "version" of the photo redesigned as Phil mentioned. Nothing further was negotiated between the photographer and the end user. Therefore no further credit was required however props where given to the photographer in the 2014 RT thread because it is proper "etiquette" to do so.

    Edit: After going through the 2014 RT Thread I must retract my statement about Ice Horse being mentioned as the the photographer of the truck used. I cannot find props given or mention of the photographer. I apologize for misstating that.
