Had the same motor in my 2012 Sonata. I killed an A4 driving it home from the dealership.

That motor is no joke. They detuned it to get better MPG so the older models are kinda in high demand.

 

Yep, that's one of the many reasons we kept the 2011. Also, it looks like they're advertising 274hp again for the 2016 so maybe they're bumping boost back up again.

Do your rear tires use tread more quickly than your front tires? Does your fuel gauge go to 'E' much quicker? Do chick's panties seem to suddenly become afraid of heights in your presence? Do entry level 'sports cars' look in jealousy as you pull away from them while drinking a Slurpee as they feverishly row through the gears while losing ground to a pick-em-up truck?

I tried convincing myself that Ol' Red decided to supercharge himself.

Upon further inspection however his 190,000 mile power steering pump is just very disgruntled.

Gonna have it replaced.

 

my GF is super cool, however she's the worst backseat driver (riding shotgun).

I won't be halfway out of a parking spot before she's already directing me.

All I do is just stop and look over at her with the "really?" face. Meanwhile she's one of the worst drivers ever. And I don't say a word... typically because I'm frozen with fear and shock.

Truth.

 

I had issues with mine too. 205,000 on it. It wouldn't stop squealing at me. But I added some royal purple power steering. It went away and is running great.

 

The bushing was shitting the bed.

My friend's shop is replacing it and conditioning the fluid/line.

Hopefully that was also causing my belt squeal noise in the summer.

 

All squared away now.

Amazing what $400 can do.

 

Thoughts on installing a tube in a tire with sidewall rash that is losing air overnight?
Tire looks fine and I'm totally comfortable jamming down the interstate on it. It just won't hold air and can't be repaired.

 

If the sidewall has enough rash on it to loose air then aren't the sidewall bands compromised to a point that highway speeds and heat could cause a blow out?
