ok. bushing is in and now I can't seem to get the axle back in.

There's a ring type c-clip on the end of the axle. Can I take that out to make putting the axle in easier or does it have to be there so that the axle doesn't fall out?

Whatever you paid Evan it was worth it Rebecca.

To answer all the questions, I replaced the pos needle bearing in the diff with the ECGS bushing.

Hell, even hammering in the new bushing was kicking my ass.

I ended up using my air chisel to hammer it home. No, I didn't go past flush with the outside of the diff.

C clip must stay on. Use a dead blow hammer to pop it in.

That's exactly what I did Eric. Except for the pop right out part.

It required much cursing and banging. The dog and the kids won't come anywhere near me right now :D

you hammer on the third part of this large, floppy assembly? That'll be a good trick.

X2, c-clip is what holds in it. If you're going to hammer it, thread the nut on first so you don't screw up the threads.

Well that c-clip sure did a hell of a job holding it in.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Got my new three hoop Demello front bumper put on. I also ran up to foco and picked up a full set of skids from Josh with RCI metalworks. If anybody is looking for some skids Josh is a great guy to work with. I got the skids put on also.

I will post pics loaded tomorrow after I wash the truck.

    Yeah I need help....

Of course, anyone helping me would have to be able to tolerate a fair amount of verbal abuse. :D

I don't get it Eric. It takes a fair bit of effort just to compress the boots and everything so that the three parts of the cv are all together. To do that, and then try and hammer on the end of it....

Is this normally a two person job?

Left you a VM. Give me a call. I think you can take long screw driver and hit the corners of the fixed part of the inner axle. Trying to do this from memory at the moment.
