At this altitude you can run a supercharger on most 3.4l engines without the need for fuel mods. It will not run lean enough to cause any worries. Even in Moab I have never had an issues with lean out out excessive knock.

I will say the vehicle does run better with the fuel mods installed. Running the AFR closer to 12 to 1 really wakes up the response. Also having the ability to take out a couple of degrees of ignition advance really helps.

I would worry about running e-85 on stock injectors with a supercharger. You get to the point where you can't give the engine enough fuel with gasoline let alone e-85 where you need 20-30%more fuel volume. If you build a fuel system around e-85 with correct timing maps you could get more power over gasoline.

I don't like e-85 though because it directly cuts into food costs due to being based off of corn. It is ineffective as a enviromental savings because of the low yield of product from the crop and the damage that the crop causes to the soil. A crop switch is need to be effective. With the current offerings of american e-85 we are causing more damage then good. Use switch grass or other forms of efficent plant matter and there would be a benifit.

If anyone's looking for a first gen, there's a pretty clean one down here for a good price. 121k miles, auto, TRD. Few little dings but still nice. Frame looks good. I'd buy it if I wasn't looking at getting a 2nd gen.

Hey I need some help. Im designing my tire carrier. I looked up the width for the duratrac's 285 75 16 and it says it's at 11.3" Is that pretty accurate? Basically what my question is the width for the tires I was thinking about making it 12" in the the tire carrier. Would that be to big or should I narrow the width to about 11.5". Anyone one with more experience then me on this size tire throw out your .02 on how wide I should make the tire carrier.

I would go 12" because you never know what the future holds for you in tires. Are you gonna run the tire straps too?

Yes I'm going to run the straps. But I'm also going to try and make some kind of brace that I can run through the wheels and lock down.
