A Viair 400P arrived on my doorstep today. Actually, it arrived on my neighbor's doorstep on the other side of the building despite it clearly displaying my address on the label. Just finished a test run and it performs beautifully. I'm still figuring out the accuracy of the gauge during inflation, but it took 2.5 to 3 minutes to go from 15psi to 35psi for 33" tires. It's by no means quiet, but not as loud as I expected. Was a little worried about the clamp-on chuck but it works great. I haven't yet figured out what's "deluxe" about the included carry bag, but I'm pretty sure it's not the construction. On the other hand, the construction of the compressor seems solid.

Well, made a little progress today with the skid plates:

The diff drop is proving to be a little PITA with it. Got some new bolts for the front and they ended up being too short, then we went and got longer ones and someone put standard bolts in the metric slot so we ended up with the wrong ones again, then we needed more washers, then the bolts the company sent interfere with my cat, and there's a few other things too haha. I have to get some spacers for the front since the angles got a little wonky. As you can see in the pic there's only one bolt in the front part lol.

So figured out if you space out the bolts near where the drop is, you have to space out the front since it messes up the angles.

So not quite done screwing with it yet.

Went and ran metberry gulch today, was going to do one other but a jeep in another group ahead smoked his clutch on the slab so we ate a long lunch by the river while they winched him up. Some of the group continued but I needed to get back.

I'm not sure if its just because there are more jeeps out on the trails than anything else.....but I've heard of/seen way too many jeeps clog up a trail after breaking down.

It could be the drivers or the vehicle. Neither are that dependable :p

I didn't mention it as a dog on jeeps, there were some very nice ones out there today but I think probability says they are most likely
