I got the truck purring today and am heading up in my crawler with a friend in his 79ish ford quad cab. We are taking it easy because we are taking his son that just healed up enough after surgery. Thinking we will do caribou trail and maybe go to middle st vrain/coney flats after that. We will be leaving at 7:30 and probably be to caribou by 8:30 or 9 after fillup in Nederland. Anyone that has free time last minute can meet us up there.

Damn where did you go? The only shop I have dealt with in the past few years is Eurocollision down in Highlands ranch because they were approved by my insurance provider. They have been great and everything comes out awesome. But since they are full scale and not some small guy with a shop I am sure what you did will cost!!!!

Nice always wondered who and or how someone gets a job like that. Hey I hear Peter Foresburg is coming out of retirement again and he is going to work on your team. :D:D

Planning on making the opener so I guess we will see you there.

So I went up and did peru creek, chihuahua gultch and cinnamon gultch yesterday looking for some fishing spots, did not really want to hike, so we just played around near the mines up there (its just past keystone off of montezuma road. It was great until the trail damage got me... was on peru creek and its super narrow, there was a huge rock sticking out on my side of the truck so i got as close as i could with out hitting it and creesing the side of the truck all the way down when WHAM!!! there was a downed tree on the other side that i did not see and my buddy did not tell me about as i was going past it. F*cked up both quarter panels on the passanger side and the passanger front door. I think i may be able to dry ice and hair dryer out a few of them, but im thinking i need a body shop. here are some pictures....:mad::mad::mad::mad: Should i claim insurance? of just pay to get it fixed.

Yeah after being pulled over for stupid things lately I would make sure to have a front plate. Just screw it in to where you fairlead will go until you get a winch. Then you will have to get a bracket or screw it directly into your bumper.

Not really jealous but I am curious where you are? If I didn't know better I would say you are in Jersey trying out for the next season of that show.

I would think about making a claim anything over $1000 is going to drive your insurance up , might not be that bad if you have a clean record.
I don't think it looks that bad I would try to pop it out as best you can also I have heard that the dry ice thing dosent really work
Truck just pasted mall crawler status !

If it were my truck I would get an estimate and then weigh if it is worth fixing that body work or go get a High Clearance rear bumper and a new front bumper. Then just buff out the damage there as best as possible. Call them adventure wounds. Hell if you can get the insurance company to give you a check and you are not worried about your rates going up have them pay gor your new bumpers. :D
