Oh it's not that I WONT'T CAMP... but I'm not gonna sit out by the camp fire in the rain... when I'm camping and it's raining... I'm always sleepy... so I end up doing nothing but sleeping LOL...

I'm going camping the 2nd-6th no matter what... gonna do some of the CO BDR route I posted last year North to south... have plans to Camp on top of Handies Peak at 14k with my buddy on the 4th...

This rain really does need to stop. I have trails I need to do. And I'm tired of worrying about hail.

 

I'll have to borrow someone else's big girl panties, I'm rather skinny kinda built. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to doing some mild off roading tomorrow, most likely something along Rampart Range Road.

 

Go up Jackson creek road, there are two puddles before you hit Rampart road that can be, fun™.

As long as it's not Moab/Kokopelli mud... I'm good with it... that shit was like quickcrete! took a pressure washer at <1" to get it to budge... same pressure washer removes skin from the back of your hand with a quickness... so I've heard lol

 

I'm camping up off Jackson creek road but will be packing up after I wake up this afternoon (I work nights).

 

You can find such mud in Colorado. The other day I was driving home from Parker to Colorado Springs from a job site. Around 10 miles south of Parker I decided to get off 83 and show my buddy where we are looking at buying land. Except I got lost on some ranch land roads with no maintenance whatsoever. Almost didn't make it out with my nearly bald tires. It had just rained and it was 6pm, getting dark quickly. No cell phone coverage and clearly not a road driven often. That mud did NOT come off, still found it in places, weeks after when I did my OME lift.

 

When I first started wheeling I thought mud and puddles were fun, but once the mud dries and you need to work under your truck, all the sand and rocks falling in your face is no fun!

 

Same car wash blew off my windshield wiper too car wash from hell

I like the one up by city market because they blast the music so you can shake your booty while you wash

 

I drove through some overflowing gutters last night to rinse off what I gathered on the buena vista camping trip with my students this week. It was over the curb and I just made a few laps around the block. I spent 15 bucks after the kokopelli in moab getting that bentonite off

 

Or.... u can not be a lame mall crawler and not wash your truck halfway through an offroading event
