I would have asked much sooner cause I knew I had got rid of them when I picked up and installed the AP from Matt.

Read a lot about these skids and for some reason never realized Josh's design uses those. If I knew that I woulda gone somewhere else for the front skid.

No worries though man.

 

Noah I would offer to help make you new ones but right now is bad timing. I don't even have time for my build. Good luck.

I am not fully understanding this. If Josh suggested you add spacers and it will create a gap then isn't installing the brackets gonna do the same thing?

That's why I'm confused as well. I lined up the plate and there's a 2" gap between the skid and the cross member before it touches the diff anyway.

 

Sounds like you will have the gap regardless. But aren't there other on here who have installed this skid? Do they have the gap?

You could always come by too if you want Noah and we'll get er slapped on there.

 

There is no gap on the front the brackets just hold the skid snug to your bummper. You won't have the approach angle like an alpro or others but the skid has no gap and the brackets help reinforce the skid a little.

I have to say I am not at all disappointed in my choice of skids. They have held up to so good abuse and some good turtle action.

 

If you want Noah when you get the brackets you are welcome to hot me up and I would more then willing to help you get it on and you can take a look at mine.
