I was tryin to lift it from the center where that little round metal dish thingy is with the hole in it (real descriptive I know). I thought lifting from the LCA might put too much stress on it?

I know exactly where you're talking about :)

Lifting from the LCA won't put too much stress on your LCA. If it puts too much stress on your jack then you need a new jack I guess.

You DO have to be careful lifting from the LCA. You want to make sure you get the jack "hooked" on it somewhere so it doesn't just slide off the jack.

I've been looking at those too. If you look closely to the pics you'll se cut wires and corrosion around the intake. Those japan engines have low miles but they don't follow federal emissions. I haven't called to ask about the engines. If you do call find out anything good let me know.

My main concern isn't much about miles but the compression on each cylinder.

There are a few good 3.4 here. A couple with superchargers i've been looking at. but who knows if all the wiring is there.

In 2003 I bought a jdm motor from an importer it was a nissan not toyota but it was great. It was a complete front clip. They cranked ot before I bought it and it had a warranty. Jarco was the company. They did some turbo diesel hilux clips then too

I don't know about you but I'm pretty hesitant to go after any of those motors. Who knows how long they've been on the shelf or outside and most of them are high enough miles that I'd want to do the timing set and water pump. After all that I'm close to the cost of just rebuilding my engine.
