I think he normally runs a bit behind but it's not like him to ignore you. I had mine done pretty fast but all of the 1st gen section on Tacoma World was watching the progress as it was being built so that may have helped out.
I'd keep calling. If he said 8 weeks and it's been 8 weeks, you are well within your right to expect answers.

 

Mine was ordered in August and I was able to pick it up in April. The communication sucked, but I did get a bumper in the end. It looks nice. I didn't like that it was not built around a 9k bumper motor. I had to do more cutting after it arrived.

 

That sucks.
And I know what you mean, I had to cut mine to fit my Warn 9k as well. Didn't expect that at all.

 

did you ever fix your excessive body flex issue with the body mounts?

 

Scotty is a good guy, I know they get backed up a lot but he usually doesn't hestitste to make things right.

 

He's definitely a good guy and does great work. I think like most small businesses, myself included, he might bite off more than he can chew sometimes in an effort to keep business going through the lean months.

 

Thanks for the info. Glad to know the shop is reputable. It just sucks to pay in full for something you won't see for 2-3 months.

Mine doesn't see to have any huge issues so far. About 1/2" of movement total. I get a little paint rub and that is it.

 

its a common issue with the 3rd gens also.

^^ those are for the rear. I am sure they can make them for 4th gens and other body locations if asked. They're good guys.

 

I've though about getting urethane body mounts, Energy sells them and they are the same as the 2nd gen taco stuff. Not sure I care enough at this point

Kind of bummed reading about the winch issues with the Addicted bumpers. I was/am planning on getting an Addicted Front Bumper and was planning on getting a Engo 9K winch. The wait time already has me a little hesitant.

 

maybe order it in the winter time? everyone tends to slow down by then

 

I may order it in December...was going to order the TRD rims but bumper might be bumped up a little bit.

 

yeah, if you want that bumper faster, id move it to december.

 

Addicted is a small shop for sure. Even larger producers like Pelfrey that run 2 shifts (22hrs a day) are have turn issues right now. The Fab market just cannot keep up with the current disposible income.

Now the winch issue I cannot help you there. I had to cut my Addicted bumper to fit my Come Up 9K winch as well. Unfortunately the center section is just designed around and 8k winches or small 9K winches. It especially was not designed to fit my long ass Cone brake winch. But I would not trade my Come Up for anything.
