It gets colder in Pueblo than Rye haha.

When I was a senior in high school I got a Jetta in March 2005 since I was about to move to Denver for school. It was raining in Pueblo and by the time I got to Colorado City (not the one near Colorado Springs) it was snowing a shit load so I stopped at my buddies. That was a Saturday and it snowed over 6 feet in Rye. We didn't have school until Wednesday.
This was just the following day. It snowed for 2 more days after that

Better to ask what I have not done.
Odomandr and or any other snorkel inclined people.

What snorkel are you running airflow or arb. Any word on a correct fitting arb? Was it worth putting the snorkel on. I need to get a CIA or snorkel here soon my filter was pretty damp today and I don't want another engine. did you notice any power loss/ is it worth more then looks.

    Thanks in advance.

Is this on a 2nd gen? Is your factory wheel well plastic intact or missing cause you should not be getting water from splash back into the intake in the stock location.

Oh and I have had zero dampening issues with my safari snorkel through heavy rain or snow.

It's a 2nd gen and The previous owner cut the inner fender linnet right to behind the opening for the intake so I can put my hand right in there.

Also I saw your truck over at safe way last week! It's looking good.

Thanks man. So if you want a temp solution I would buy some flex pipe at Home Depot and just run it up into the wheel well a bit further behind the plastic shield. Safari is working on a true fit oversized for the 2nd gens due out in 2016. The one on mine is for a Hilux and fits somewhat close. Airflow is a great option and nice 4" air intake but is the only one I have personally seen take on moisture with the stock hood and heavy rain or snow.

Thanks I've heard about that with the airflow 's and I've talked with odomandr on the Arb's and all he has been getting is "soon" so I didn't want to wait forever for soon to come.

I can't afford patients,it costs way to damn much.

I did see the new safari 2nd gen snorkel on 3 trucks out at SEMA this year. So the prototypes are out in the field at least.

Good times were had. I met with a couple local guys and @NmBeefTaco . Was a lot like a toboggan run in areas. The snow was 2' plus on the sides and basically tracks that we were following. Oh yea they were pretty much snowmobile tracks

Four of us headed up. My rig 00' 4Runner, 13' tacoma, 06' LT tacoma and a decked out Raptor..guess who had to turn around first? Yep the Raptor. Pretty cool when we were waiting for the raptor and shorty tacoma. Then see the raptor lights do a turn around and let him by.

Guy headed down but was scared to go around us for some reason.
