    Ok, I looked at mine and I only have a 6 wire 4wd control relay.


    The location is about the same as your connector. I'll check the wiring for your truck.

    If you look it up, for your year the connector should be a 10 pin located in the right kick panel area. Looks like the right one to me then.

    I believe that plug in my pic has six wires. I'll double check when I get home. It will be nice then all I'll have to do is get the relay.Thanks Brian.

    I didn't count the wires, it just notes that it is supposed to be a 10 pin (total possible) connector. It looks correct per the instructions for a 2001.

    Removing the instrument cluster and separating the plastic is really easy, no glue or silicon holding to together. After the cluster is out there are about 10 plastic clips that hold the halves together. It is just "snap together" plastic halves. About an hour job max

    Part of me might want to keep the dead mosquito there.... he's been along for the journey for the past 180,000 miles.
