For anyone interested FEAT.org was at the Caravan for the Kids the weekend before last. FEAT is a volunteer group that helps bring emergency personnel (doctors, nurses, government officials) to areas of need during times of emergency. Primarily whenever a State of Emergency is enacted in Colorado. Last major event was the floods in northern Colorado a couple of years ago. You can sign up to be a volunteer driver or dispatcher. I just filled out my application.

I have seen that bright green pumpkin around on the trails. It's a nicely built Grand for sure. But next time just tell him to use leg warmers instead of duct tape. :)

+1 for both of you being out on the trails today. I really need to get out.

Not the first time we've seen that.
Those three little stock bolts that hold the aluminum crash bar on are just not capable of doing anything other than holding a bumper on.
I think it was @WillT that bent his up just from using a jack on the bumper.
Winching or towing, I'd say you're pretty much guaranteed to mess stuff up.
Aftermarket bumper manufacturers shouldn't even sell a bumper without some sort of frame tie-in.

I would not use an aftermarket gasket. The factory "form in place gasket" is better at sealing and will not deform your pan making future sealing difficult.

I wouldn't listen to that guy too much. He is not a Toyota tech and doesn't know the product well. He has a lot of miss information, some good stuff pulled straight out of books though.

Ok cool thanks. I will do that. I haven't looked into it much. The tranny is sitting in the truck on ratchet straps at an angle and it's been leaking little bit at a time. I only want to do the job once so I'll go the factory route.

Prolonging injury of 3-4 years. PT isn't helping. Weights related I'm sure.
