I have a first gen pickup tailgate...I plan on making it a coffee table one day

Haha that'd be cool. I'll probably end up doing wood and then putting glass overtop of it, so it's a little more subtle. Like this.

 

That's cool! I have always wanted to get some of that clear epoxy fillet and set a bunch of leafs and bullets and arrows and such (hunting and camping theme) and pour the epoxy over that.

That thing is cool! And I'm sorry to see the old truck go. I had a 91 that I still think I would have taken over this truck if I had the chance.

 

Sucks so many nice things end up junked. Wish I could find the owners of things like that before they junked them.

Most depressing time in the junkyard was during the whole Cash for Clunkers thing. SO many nice Toyota's that they killed. I pretty much left in tears. One gorgeous one I found full of the engine seize containers they used to kill them all. There was another nice one too they wasted by picking it up with the forklift my the cab.

 

And the thing hat really sucks is people pay good money for them still. I would spend 4 grand on a 91 and no one would think I'm crazy but I could spend 2grand on a 01 jeep (heep) and people would say I paid to much...

I was pretty proud though. The majority of them were traded in at Toyota dealers to get other Toyotas. They each had detailed stickers on them about it.

 

That's cool. What I miss is being able to go to the junk yard to go get a part or something and not spend 20$ now if I need to replace something they need my leg!

 

And I am glad people are sticking with Toyota but still feel that your getting ripped off buying new.

Have you seen the price of used trucks!

 

I wanted used but they wanted way too much, I got my new one for $2K less then list price of 3 year old OR with 40K miles.

 

Anyone use Permatex's anti-seize? Want to coat everything (LCA's) when I pull apart for new UCA's.
