Looking at ARB they are saying the now snorkel exceeds the stock intakes flow and is suitable for forced induction trucks!!! We will have to get @Tacoma SS to put one on and see what it does.

 

it just looks like a tumor though compared to the retrofit hilux snorkel

It does not look that bad and honestly I want performance and function on it not how it looks.... And it's mainly at the bottom. The intake is similar is size.

 

True, but I wanna see in person before I decide what one to get, maybe like the 3rd gen it will grow on me... just like a tumor bwa hahaha

 

Was just looking at thread on new Snorkel and they also confirm it was enlarged to get air flow for SC's.

Edit: ARB told me that there would be ZERO issues with running an s/c on the new 2nd gen snorkel. That's great news to me.

Think of it like a beard your not so sure about it at first then it grows on you.... Then again you don't have one so maybe you should keep your cold air intake....

 

Yah that's what they are saying and with the larger diameter intake it should flow a lot better. And sense you don't trust me. @mountainmonkey do you remember your fluid dynamics class...

Can I use a snorkel AND the afe stage 2 intake that I want?

 

Is your intake a sealed box? If not then it's kinda defeating the purposes. You can go with a Volant cai box and do the snorkel.

the Airflow snorkel is also S/C friendly

I'm going to make some phone calls today to see if any want to give me a dealer account or do a group buy on them.

 

If I can use it with the afe intake, it will work with my super, and I can get it a little bit cheaper I think I'd be interested
