i had to fight to get drip edge around all the eaves on my house, i had to fight even harder to get them to install ice dam shield, they would only cover it if it was county code.

These were things I specifically asked for from the start. The ice damming on the back was horrendous. It never sees the sun.

And they are done. I spy a little damage to one piece of old brittle siding on the chimney, and the skylights...one looks great, the other looks to have had the flashing cut with childs scissors..not thrilled with that...I'll let the supervisor know when he decides to make an appearance. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

Gutters will be here next week.

I think the new color looks good. It'll pop a little more after the gutter install. Hopefully they are dark brown like the drip edge.
It looks like your trim and fascia are a metal product. If they aren't I'd change the trim color and get rid of the soft color looks almost pinkish and washed out. Darker color and bingo bango it'll define your lines better.

It looks better now that it's been cleaned.

Gutters are an eggshell like the old ones were, but funny you mentioned it, I was just thinking I should have gone dark brown. I might be painting them now.

This is where a chick would have come in handy, color matching.

The pink is exactly what it is, and washed out, I hate it. Came with the house though. Might paint that too.

I had a bad batch of shingles from the factory and made them re install a couple bundles of shingles to get that defect out. I also made the painters go around and put caulk in all nail holes or any weathered parts on the siding lap board before painting, they were NOT going to do this as a normal step in the painting process. I wasn't thrilled about that so i raised hell.

In my mind, if changing the color of the gutters is in your mind ask now. They likely will make it on the spot from a roll. I'd pay the restocking fee and re order.
It's not the best idea to paint a metal gutter. It won't go fast trying to do a dark color over a light color. Multiple coats means multiple trips up and down ladder around the house. I'd say it had to be worth a few hundred to get what you want. And of course factory finish will last much longer.

Just made the call, it wasn't too late to change gutter color . I agree, the more I looked at it, dark brown (or Beaver Brown in this case) will look better. I can paint the down spouts since I'm reusing them. Or they may look okay with the rest of the house, I'll see when it's done.

My inspection revealed this. I already called the contractor and he'll be here tomorrow to address my list of issues. It's short so shouldn't be too big of a deal.
The crew said it was just a piece of flashing..my pics from before say that it wasn't there.
    The siding was chipped.

And this is what I was saying about the skylight.

This one looks much better. Both are visible from the street.

Looks great from across the street, ignore the dangling down spout.

id also keep an eye on those wavy shingles if they don't lay down id say something!! and did they put metal edging up under the lap board and under the row of shingles next to the lap board sections of the chimney? or other levels of the house?

I did mention the wavy, he said it should lay flat in a week to 10 days, it never got that warm here today so that might be why. I agree though, needs to lay flat or will be redone.
Edging was supposed to go under the siding on the chimney, as well as the rest. I talked to him about that too when the quote was being written up.

I have a friend who used to do roofs on the way over, he's going to give it a look.

When the shingles get some heat on them they will lay flat.
