Today is quitting day!

 

Its on the Corolla on the hood don't know what it's from its pretty small but since it's a lease I need to fix before return...

 

can't you just bench press said jeep and throw the spacers in above the coils?

 

I will probably have my truck back by then . If there is a mod day, give me a shout. I need to toss some ideas around for a snorkel.

 

Did they figure out what was wrong with the engine? What are you thinking for a snorkel?

 

Does your friend have access to a socket wrench, mallet, couple of jack stands, floor jack, and about an hour or so of free time?

4th cylinder had rust and broken piston rings. Not sure how. Looks also like a possible head gasket leak there. The whole thing is extremely weird since the other three cylinders look great. Regardless, it is going to need a full rebuild and new pistons since it will be bored to correct for the crap in the 4th cylinder.

As far as snorkels, not sure. I don't want an aftermarket one as I really don't like the look of the arb/airflow. I have been searching custom snorkels but few of those look good either. I just want something simple, clean and gets the job done.

 

If you are getting the truck back soon, when are we getting out to do some fly fishing?

 

Wonder if any parts are interchangeable with the 3RZ, I completely gutted mine and still have all the parts.

As for the snorkel, have you thought about putting it in the cab? I know it's for a 1st gen but I did a write-up on it... back in the day.

 

Not sure when I can get out but with this nice weather we have had I need to get out. Where are you located in CO?

I have thought of that. Not sure how much I would enjoy listening to it suck air in the cab though.

Awesome. That would've been my next suggestion but didn't know if it could be done in a 2nd gen. Absolute cleanest and highest you can get without going for a typical A-pillar style. Nice to have the gutters diverting water away from it too.

 

I'll consider both of those. If there is a mod day I might bring some supplies to get one done. I like the in cab the best as far as protection goes. Unsure on the noise but everything is loud on my truck haha.

My other thought was a custom stubby snorkel.

 

Does anyone have any 10 inch trailer drums that are 6 on 5 1/2 I need them for my offroad trailer. I plan on trading money for the drums.

 

you could get on that thread about teaching people how to use the hi lifts and recovery gear if you wanted a purpose for that meet and greet.
