I was just kinda thinking about using them as floater housings so that when some obe wanted to regear we would have a set that can travle and make regears easyer

I think I am for when I regear and Lock the front! How much does it usually run to regear if you drop the diffs off at a shop with everything ready to go in? Too bad about your old truck, it was sweet. From pics that I've seen

 

cost me about 700 in Co Springs and thats taking them the diffs, gears, install kits. they had to get a arb seal for my front since the old one had already busted

I got my topper off CL for a cool $300. There are scratches in the paint and a few small cosmetic chips in the fiberglass around the edges from poor storage off the truck by the previous owner but functionally it is a 9/10. The only reason it's not a 10 is because some of the individual LEDs that makeup the third brake light are burnt out. Plenty of deals to be had if you're patient.
