Colorado B.S. Thread

Has any one got there frame replaced here in Co. I called a dealership on Friday and they said it doesn't apply to us. Just trying to figure out if they are giving me the run a round. Have just normal wear on the frame nothing bad at all. But I wanted them to look at it just in case.

 

I had my frame inspected a few months ago., I know there is some kind of timeframe, but I don't recall what it is

 

Did you get a recall letter in the mail? I believe you have to get that and schedule a time with the dealer. Also the inspections for Colorado end at the end of March. Could be that the dealer was not gonna get you in before that so they brushed you off.

I do know that you pretty much have to have holes eaten through your frame to qualify. Typically they show up on the inside of the frame near the catalytic converters.

 

I can't remember if I got a letter or not. Last time I took it in for recalls was 3 yrs ago. And they did like 3 items. Well and had the leaf springs replaced last year. An they are already bottoming out going over speed bumps at very low speeds. I looked inside and out of the frame and couldn't find anything that stuck out. They looked up my Vin number and said it doesn't apply to me.

 

And on this day Gramps took his walker for another full rotation around the sun.

$6 to... $40. Screw Bosch and K&N. Ain't nobody payin' that for an air filter.
Also, I don't have Prime, so that'd really drive the price up. But yeah, good price for the cheaper ones.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe there was some miscommunication, but yes, it DOES apply to CO now, but only 05 to 08s and you have to have the inspection done by the 31st. We have a thread on it. Nobody from here got a replacement. Some people who started out in the rust belt and then moved here did.
