I really wanted to get into fishing this year. I've been in the past but never really got into it. I want to get a more "beginner" rod and reel for me and the wife.

I'm always game for some fly fishing. Honestly the south platte here in Denver has fish and is the closest drive. The mountains streams are the usual destinations, but if you don't want to be fishing with crowds, its best to hide in plain sight. My goal for this spring/summer is to try out a few urban fishing spots. I've seen big trout in the river here in town.

I get why you need UCA's after a lift, but why do some people use new LCA's as well?

Design weakness in the lower control arm where the bushing is pressed in. Thinner at the mounting location then the previous suspension designs.................. Than being said, if you are not abusive you will not notice any issues. Look at the many people who have been wheeling that suspension and never had any failure.

So the only real reason to swap is if you really beat on it? No other big advantages?

I heard about that one back at camp. I heard it was fun to watch. Complicated more by the bracket lift, who knows. There was also a 1st gen that failed in a similar fashion last year.

Curious to what you find. Just put my 4.88s in and like you said the speedo reads 5mph slower. And I believe my odometer reads 5% more.

Stock gear was 30 tooth, ended up with a 33 tooth and only off by 3mph on the speedo now. I was out by 10 mph to begin with.

When you say the speedo is off by 3mph or 10mph, what is your reference speed? The speedo will be off by a percentage of your current speed and not a constant value no matter what speed you're going.

I can't remember, I mention the actual speed in the thread.

So I checked, and I didn't actually mention it in those links but the highway I was running during testing has a speed limit of 65.
I do remember it being way off even at lower speeds, like 45 on the speedo needle was actually just over 35 actual speed
