Am I calculating this right? I took a cruise today to try and calculate the difference between my odometer and actual distance so I can figure mpgs. So my gps says I went 65.3 miles and my odo says 70.6. Wouldn't I do this 65.3/70.6=.925 So my last odometer reading at fill up was 168.8 and took 9.177 gallons. So then I do this (168.8*.925)/9.177=17.01 Am I right? I was avg 18.5 on the last few fill ups and expected to get slightly better with the regear since I'm not working the little 2.7 so hard. Not a big deal either way just want to make sure I'm calculating it right.

That math also confirms a 33ish tooth speedo gear will get you close to accurate. Given the 4 banger also has a 30 tooth from the factory. @thefatkid did you figure out why you initially thought my math was wrong?

No, I stole yours and threw it in. It works perfect with my 255s. Speed is dead on per the GPS. I have another one being drop shipped to the address that you gave me. They wouldn't shit the 1st one without charging me, but because the 2nd one was special order I was able to cheat it through for free shipping.

I would imagine that anyone who could shit truck parts on demand would be able to charge what they want.

Sounds like a lucrative, though likely painful, business.

It depends on the part...are we talking nuts, bolts and washers, or are we talking springs and axles?

So, you are saying that having a nut or bolt come out of your ass is is no big deal? Interesting.

I was going to, until the counter guy told me to do it this way. I was ordering one for myself at the same time.

Business model wouldn't work too well. People don't want parts that have got brown.

A small handful of select mods.
Plus I am sure given the diet quality control of the parts would be inconsistent. :D

Almost got stuck earlier... well I kind of did for 5 minutes. I was bored today and was finishing up the last bit of break in on my diff so I took a drive. After close to 50 miles I pulled off the right side of the road to let it cool down and look over to my left to see this trail that goes up to Macfarlane Reservoir. The snow didn't look that deep but I guess the road is a little lower than the sides and I got stuck in a small drift about 30yds into it. Nothing a good trusty shovel couldn't undo though. Has anyone been to this reservoir?

Yes. I've been on all sorts of random BLM roads around there. The reservoir isn't that exciting though, unless you're a duck hunter :spy: Too shallow for fish.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
I have been on a lot of those roads as well. Got stuck in a drift a few weeks ago. It was right around that area but a different county road.
