i beg to differ. ive had a side wall gash that i repaired with saftey wire and about 60 plugs. not ideal conditions but it got me off the trail.
just get the red plugs, they can be had from here http://www.safetyseal.com/safetysealoriginal.php ive tried the black ones and they can work but for real punctures the reds are the way to go. had 30 reds without wire once that held for a day or so.

that rock probably spent hundreds of thousands of years sitting there just thinking, man one day im really going to shit on someones parade. and then WHAM. success. that'll teach someone. lol

i dont see quite an issue with flats if you have a plug kit and air. half the time i dont even carry a spare. how many people have on board air?

But those also look like road tires. I still carry a spare, but am not extremely worried about it with the 10 ply tire.

I have on board air. I have had I ever since I started wheeling. Just moved up to an arb compressor from a cheap harbor freight pancake compressor.
He is just talking about the list of stuff he needs to talk his wife into letting him buy.

unfortunately is was on a trail with my rock crawler, we un mounted the tire, stiched it up with bailing wire and slammed plugs in anywhere it was still leaking. re seated it and ran the rest of the trail. double beadlocks are pretty east to take apart, but still a pain in the ass.

id add OBA to the list first. its come in handy more than once.
i need it for my arb's but just airing up a tire or 4 and running pneumatic tools is a win win.

I put a 3" hole in the sidewall one winter near the top of the 7-mile winter challenge.
Stuck a tree branch right thru it.
It has to date been the only flat I have ever had on the trail and was also the one, and only, time I left the spare at home because I had been cleaning out the back of the Scout a day or so before, got distracted by something, and forgot to put it back in. Totally sucked ass. Karma bit me big time.
when a 37" goes totally flat there is much lean on that corner fyi.

I have upgraded a lot on the truck but there are still more to do. I will be redoing my suspension at some point, regear for 35s, and possibly a front locker. Still tossing that last one around.

I have a possible project this weekend. I have a set of gusseted spindles that I need to put on.
