Those are really soft metal. I bet the impact will round it right out. Make sure you clean all the mud and dirt out of there first, It seems a lot of stripped front diff drain/fill bolts happen because of that.

Might end up having to weld a big nut on there.

Yeah I was thinking that. That's why I through it up here to see if anyone tried an impact. I stop trying prying on it because I started feeling a little slop in the Allen wrench. I'll figure something out.

**Sometimes** (not responsible for results) an impact is less likely to strip out a bolt than a breaker.

I still want to know why it's seized... did you never have it off after buying it? Did you tighten the hell out of it?

I never removed it. That's how it came when I bought it. I never thought to at the time. I was a little distracted at the time.

Removal of the lower plug can be a pain. There is a very easy trick that works almost every time...........

Take a ball-peen hammer, with the flat end hit the drain plug flat on the hex side a could times. Typically this relives the tension on the gasket allowing easy removal.

I had the same problem on my tundra front diff. I wrenched on hit and even used my jack handle as a breaker bar. Inevitably I sprayed it with PB blaster a couple times for 3 days and it popped loose on day 4. I looked like it was rusted to me. I suspect from the crap they've been putting on the roads lately.

Yeah I was able to get it out and I changed the oil. The allen wrench had to much play in it to break it loose. But with a breaker bar I was able to get it. The oil was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The magnet mostly had residue on it, not a whole lot of metal shavings. Pretty clean. I did run the diff in 4hi for 50 miles between 50-60 mph at a time. So I was pretty surprised.
