Colorado B.S. Thread

I submitted my vacation requests up through July back in December.

 

I submitted my March one back in December haha.

I wasn't too concerned because I don't get paid leave and I already have another dude that will cover me...which just means he'll let stuff pile up for me until I return lol.

 

I started my new job in January, and made sure Moab time off was approved before I even started. Also started earning paid time off right away, so between that and Memorial Day being a paid holiday, I get paid most of the time I'm in Moab.

Never had a job with real benefits before.

Pretty hot here today..probably got above 80 today it's 72 right now and passes are opening up quick. They opened Ophir pass to the top on the east side..think we're going up tonight for some s'mores and stars.

 

That sounds so much better then netflix and chill

 

last time I drove back from Moab I missed most of Colorado due to darkness... Looking forward to actually seeing it in daylight.

 

Finished half my skid. This will get me through Moab.

I kill it on flat, overhead and vertical runs. But tube kicks my ass.

So if you get your gears done saturday are you still wanting to break them in on sunday? Mothers day?

 

Different world up here. Mountain's been closed for 4 weeks and you could still ski top to bottom. Was on an unmaintained country road putting miles on the gears the other day and got stopped by snow. That's less than 7,000'. Guessing Buff pass, which is right out of town and goes over the continental divide at 10,300' won't be open till August.

 

I believe it..we are close to the desert here that's all there is to it. It snowed this weekend and explored above vallecito in several inches. But the river is rising and the melt might stick this time. I've got the back door wide open, ceiling fan on probably start seeping with an open window tonight, sitting on deck in shorts. Being too lazy to drive anywhere.
